More than half of our sawn timber products are further processed at Holzwerk van Roje, because wood finishing gives the wood a higher value after cutting. We have modern processes and machines for processing of sawn timber. The demand for wood finishing hasincreased in the last months by our customers, we are constantly expanding our further processing capacities and guarantee highly precise processing.
In 2022, we will kiln dry up to 180,000 m3 of sawn timber in 14 drying kilns. Our drying kilns are equipped with modern and digitally monitored systems. The timber is slowly dried to the desired final moisture content of approx. 20%. This ensures guaranteed dimensional stability and the highest quality for further processing, if required in our new planing mill or dip impregnated. The packaging units can also be battened/unbattened and foiled on request.
Protection against wood-destroying and -discolouring organisms
Dip impregnation is available upon customer request.
During dip impregnation, the wood is completely immersed in a wood preservative bath. Dip impregnation is possible in colourless or yellow.
In our planing mill was modernised in 2021. We refine squared timber, formwork and various sawn timber - individually according to customer requirements. With the modernisation, the capacity could be increased to approx. 65,000 m3 per year. Powerful planing machines mainly smooth spruce boards. Our planed timber is used for all areas of construction, indoors and outdoors. Further processing possibilities: Whether chamfered or tongue and groove, the processing possibilities are manifold.
