Spruce, Douglas fir, larch, pine or fir - we obtain the raw material for our sawn timber exclusively from sustainably managed forests in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and neighbouring federal and EU countries. Many of our suppliers hold a corresponding certificate as proof of sustainable management. We see our obligation to society, nature and the environment in the use of roundwood from controlled logging.
More than half of our sawn timber products are further processed at Holzwerk van Roje, because wood finishing gives the timber a higher value after cutting. The further processing of sawn timber is carried out with the most modern processes and machines. As the additional service of wood finishing is increasingly in demand by our customers, we are constantly expanding our further processing capacities and guarantee highly precise processing.
Through continuous development and investments in state-of-the-art technology, van Roje is today one of the leading softwood sawmills in Europe. Every stage of production requires an optimal use of wood as a resource.

We are PEFC certified and thus support sustainable forest management that meets ecological, social and economic standards.
With the TÜV-Rheinland certified carbon footprint, van Roje is the first company in the industry to determine a product-specific carbon footprint according to the ISO 14044 standard.
